Daymark is a design-based practice; our restless approach to the boundless opportunities of architecture puts us at the cutting edge of residential design. Every space is site-specific and individually based with a goal to produce architecture that lives in harmony with its surroundings.
Our designs are minimal and sophisticated, taking inspiration from our roots here in Canada, from rustic Northern Ontario to the windswept shores of our East Coast. Combining natural materials in a contemporary form with traditional building techniques, our projects deliver eye catching results and manifest a feeling of ‘home’.

Daymark’s ethos is to create modern architecture with distinctive and lasting qualities that contribute to the enrichment of inhabitant’s lives and local community with a net-positive effect on the built-environment. We believe in accomplishing this with a measured and meticulous response to details that support ideas.
Adrian Worton
Founding Principal, Architect OAA(subject to terms, conditions and limitations)
Adrian Worton, Founding Principal of Daymark, brings 21 years of architectural experience to the practice. His career includes contributions to significant Canadian architecture, including Nathan Phillips Square, recipient of a Governor General’s Medal in Architecture from the RAIC, and the Meadows Community Recreation Centre, recognized with an Award of Excellence. His work with Daymark has been featured in publications including Dwell, ArchDaily and Designlines.
Daymark grew from a desire for a more direct relationship with clients and greater continuity between design thinking, project development and the built work. The practice has since become increasingly focused on contemporary houses and cottages, particularly waterfront, forest and rural properties across Ontario.
Adrian's experience spans architecture at very different scales, from major public projects to small buildings embedded in the landscape. That background continues to inform the way he approaches residential work, bringing together architectural ideas, technical resolution and an understanding of how decisions made on paper ultimately become built work.
As a sole practitioner, Adrian personally leads every Daymark commission. Clients work directly with the person responsible for the design, and that relationship continues as the project develops. Site planning, interior experience, materials, details, consultant input and construction are considered as parts of the same project rather than separate disciplines.
For Adrian, the value of a small practice is the ability to remain close to the work. Each project can be understood in depth, developed carefully and carried forward without losing the ideas that gave it its direction.

Daymark is a practice of ideas, we dig deep into what creates a sense of place. Our passion for the story of a project as told through the conversations with our clients leads to unique outcomes that suit each individual.

We’re of the belief that the practice of Architecture invokes a sense of romance, we want you to feel the joy that comes with designing your home. Acting as a guide, Daymark will intuitively take you through the design and documentation process, gain the required approvals and monitor construction through to the point of occupancy.
